- Anatomy and physiology of the ear
- Hearing process
- Otoscopy
- Ear examination
- How to take an Ear swab
- The normal Ear and Common Ear conditions – including sign posting, self-help patient advice and when/ where to refer on
- Guidelines, professional boundaries & limitations
- Assessment of and communication with patients
- Obtaining informed consent
- Health and safety
- Infection control, safe disposal and cleaning of equipment
- Appropriate documentation
